Dr Carnwath has joined Atkinson Lewis after retiring from the NHS, where he has gained vast experience in the field of drugs and alcohol abuse as a Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Director and Lecturer. For many years he was Hon. Secretary of the Faculty of Addiction Psychiatry at the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He has published extensively, and over the last five years he has provided around fifty childcare reports a year in the North East.
